What we measure
This is a lightweight in-house audit, not a full Google Lighthouse run. It captures the metrics that matter most for SEO and accessibility:
- TTFB (time to first byte) — server response speed. Under 200ms is excellent, under 600ms is good.
- Page size — total HTML weight. Smaller is faster, especially on mobile.
- Schema blocks — JSON-LD structured data for Google rich results. Articles should have at least Article + BreadcrumbList + FAQPage.
- Internal links — link equity flow within the site. More internal links indicate better topical coverage.
- Image alt text — every image must have descriptive alt for screen readers and SEO.
- Skip link — WCAG 2.1 keyboard navigation requirement.
- Canonical, OG, Twitter meta — SEO and social sharing essentials.
Data freshness
This page is regenerated on each deployment by run-lighthouse-audit.py. The raw JSON is at /lighthouse-audit/audit-data.json. The script can also be run locally to compare against a clean checkout.
